Training in later life is just as important as any other stage. Research has shown that regular exercise help manage or reduce symptoms of:
- Hypertension
- Osteoporosis
- Risk of falls
- Back pain
- Risk of some cancers
- Depression
- Stress
As well as managing health issues, exercising regularly has a range of positive effects such as:
- Better sleep
- Increased mobility
- Greater independence
- Better cognitive function
Training later in life comes with it’s own set of considerations, as your Personal Trainer, I am qualified to give you the most appropriate exercises based on your wants and needs. This could include developing upper body strength to keep up with the grandchildren or joint stability to manage the risk of falls. Exercise can take place wherever you feel most comfortable and can be done in groups as well for a more social experience. Recommendations are based on current research from NHS and government recommendations.
In an effort to make Training more accessible for older adults I also offer discounted per session prices to persons over 60s. I am also able to offer sessions for small or large groups. Please email directly if you are contacting on behalf of a community or assisted living centre.
